Work gently with the parts of you that push, protect, or feel overwhelmed

Internal Family Systems

(IFS)

What is Internal Family Systems?

IFS helps you understand yourself with more compassion and less judgment—so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

IFS is a therapy that helps you build a healthier relationship with yourself.

It’s based on the idea that we all have “parts” inside us—like the inner critic, the overachiever, the anxious planner, or the part that just wants to disappear.

Instead of pushing these parts away or trying to control them, IFS helps you listen. You get curious about what each part wants for you—and why it’s been doing what it’s doing.

The more you understand your parts, the more space you create for your calm, grounded Self to lead.

IFS is especially helpful if you:

  • Struggle with inner conflict or self-sabotage

  • Feel like you know better, but can’t act on it

  • Want to stop overfunctioning and start feeling whole

When you turn toward the parts of you that you’ve been avoiding, healing begins.

Why it works

  • Helps you understand patterns without shame

  • Promotes deep, lasting change without force

  • Builds trust between your Self and your parts

  • Increases clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience

What a session looks like

  • We start by getting grounded and present

  • You’ll describe a feeling, reaction, or situation you want to explore

  • I’ll help you notice and connect with the part of you that’s showing up

  • We stay with that part—not to fix it, but to understand it

  • Over time, those parts begin to soften, trust, and let go

IFS sessions are calm, respectful, and powerful. You remain in control and aware at all times.

Who it's for

IFS is especially helpful for:

  • High-functioning women who feel pulled in too many directions

  • People with anxiety, self-criticism, or difficulty setting boundaries

  • Those who’ve tried traditional therapy but still feel stuck

  • Anyone curious about building a more compassionate inner world
